Maybe it's the fact that we're nestled in a lovely valley with the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains all around. As you play our famous 16th hole, the picturesque panorama will almost take your breath away the first time you see it.

In the Asheville area, we like to say our courses have the look of the Scottish Highlands, but ours is the one where the fairways and greens were sculpted by Hawtree & Sons, a British firm that truly knows what Scottish golf is all about. Over the years, Hawtree has put the finishing touches on Royal Birkdale, a course that's part of the British Open rotation, and now Donald Trump has hired the Hawtrees to do a links course in Scotland as well.
